Current Medicine Research and Practice (CMRP), an official publication of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) previously known as The Ganga Ram Journal which was started in January 2011 and has completed a decade of its successful publication. Current Medicine Research and Practice is a peer-reviewed print + online bimonthly journal. From January 2014, Elsevier started publishing our journal which was not an open access, so we have changed the publisher in September 2020, since then full text is available online at http://www.cmrpjournal.org. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.
During the pandemic and transition period in 2020, all articles which were submitted and peer-reviewed on the Elsevier platform were then resubmitted at our new editorial manager before acceptance.
The journal accepts original articles on clinical and laboratory research in the field of medicine, and review articles on topics of current interest. In addition, the Journal features articles of educational value to postgraduate students such as "Research Methods" and "Technology Updates". CMRP aims at publishing articles with a special focus on health in developing countries, which highlight the common problems of the region and their possible solutions.
CMRP is also indexed in Indian Citation Index, and The World Journal Clout Index (WJCI).

Ahead of Print policy
Articles published online under the Ahead of Print model are considered published and can be cited and quoted using the DOI as the reference source. Wolters Kluwer Medknow has a policy that changes will not be made after publication of an article without following accepted procedures for making corrections to the scientific record.
While advertisements are crucial to this journal to be able to keep all content free for everyone, ethical considerations are in place to ensure the integrity of the journal and its content:
- "Pop-up" and "banner" ads appear on a random, rotating basis. The advertiser has no control or input over the pages where their ads appear.
- The Editorial Board has full and final approval over the content of all advertisements.
- Advertisers will never be shown any manuscripts or other content prior to publication.
